AGAIN HOODLUMS BURN POLICE STATION IN ABIA

The Police command in Abia State has confirmed that hoodlums burnt one of its police station located near Bende Local Government headquarters.

The Police Public Relations officer of the command, Mr. Geoffrey Ogbonna, made this known while speaking with Radio Nigeria in a telephone interview.

He said that the building was attacked by over one hundred hoodlums armed with dangerous weapons.

According to Mr. Ogbonna, two of its personnel sustained degrees of injuries while no life was lost during the attack.

The Police spokesman said that the hoodlums succeeded in setting ablaze the building, two vehicles and motorcycle parked in the station.

He noted that investigation into the ugly incident had commended.
