ACCIDENT CLAIMS 5 LIVES IN ANAMBRA

Five persons have lost their lives in a road accident that occured at the Enugu-Agidi axis of Onitsha-Enugu Expressway.

The incident, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), involved a black Lexus RX330 with registration number KJA182HS and a Red Truck with no registration number, whose drivers were unidentified.

All the five persons involved in the crash, including three male adults, one female adult and one female child, were confirmed dead at Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka and their bodies were also deposited in the hospital morgue.

An eyewitness reported that the truck driver, who was said to be on high speed, suddenly lost control and rammed into the Lexus SUV.

Confirming the incident, the State Sector Commander, FRSC, Mr. Adeoye Irelewuyi, sympathized with the deceased families.

Mr. Irelewuyi also warned motorists, especially truck drivers, against over-speeding, which he described as thrilling but dangerous.
