NMA CALLS FOR CAUTION ON HEALTH WORKERS NATIONWIDE STRIKE
The Nigerian Medical Association has called for caution on the planned withdrawal of services from the hospitals nationwide by the Allied Health Workers Union.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, today Thursday, signed by NMA Publicity and Publication Committee Chairman, Dr. Obitade Obimakinde said that the issues which have been concluded in the past negotiations or supported by Government circulars and memorandum should not be reinvented or distorted in this impasse.
“This communication is released as a conscious effort to inform the Nigerian people that medical doctors are reporting promptly and available at their duty posts.
We are carrying out the responsibilities of saving lives as much as possible within the limits of available facilities and resources provided by the hospitals.”
