POLICE TO CONFISCATE VEHICLES WITH ILLEGAL SIREN, NUMBER PLATE
The Nigerian Police says it will impound vehicles using unauthorized spy number plate, siren and covered number plates.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police, in-charge of Zone 9 Police Headquarters, Umuahia, Abia State, AIG H.H Karma who made this known in a statement, said a Police Taskforce had been set up and mandated to carry out the duty in four states.
He further stated that a week’s grace had been granted starting from Monday, March, 26, 2018 to those with security object to remove such or be ready to dance to the tune of the Police.
According to AIG Karma, the exercise will be undertaken in Abia, Anambra, Enugu and Imo States and members of the Public are advised to strictly adhere to the directive, to avoid any embarrassment.
