The Director, National Orientation Agency, NOA, in Abia State, Dr. Ngozi Uduma, says the Agency has established volunteer influencers for the fast-tracking of the construction and use of household toilets in 12 communities of the State.
Addressing newsmen in Umuahia, the NOA boss noted that the aim was to engage them to become facilitators towards promoting essential practices and adoption of essential family processes.
She explained that the facilitators were to work towards influencing a given number of households in their communities to adopt the recommended practices.
Dr. Uduma listed conduct of interpersonal communication, session with households on the construction of latrines and other essential childcare and protection practices as some of the tasks for the volunteer influencers.
