UNKNOWN GUNMEN KILL 2 EBUBEAGU OPERATIVES IN EBONYI

Unknown gunmen have killed two personnel of Eastern Security operatives popularly known as Ebubeagu at Ebebe Junction in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
An eyewitness explained that the gunmen stormed a security post manned by Ebubeagu operatives on Friday night and opened fire on them.
Some passersby were said to have been caught up in the gun fight that ensued between the operatives and the gunmen with many victims said to be receiving treatment at the hospital.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ebonyi State, Mr. Chris Anyanwu, confirmed the attack to journalists.
Since its establishment in Ebonyi State, Ebubeagu security operatives have always come under attack by unknown gunmen.
