The new Zonal Director of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Enugu National Station, Pastor Emmanuel Inegbedion, has assumed duty.

The new Zonal Director, while addressing the Committee of Management (COM), promised to maintain the core values of the station.

Pastor Inegbedion expressed his readiness to move the Station to greater height.

Pastor Inegbedion, who has formally taken over the mantle of leadership of the Corporation in the zone, assured the staff members of improved welfare and urged them to abide by the extant rules.

“I will do my best to ensure that the confidence the management reposed in me is not betrayed. I will do my best to ensure the welfare of staff. I will do my best to ensure that things are done orderly here and that everything is being taken care of,” the new Zonal Director promised.

He also eulogized his Predecessor, Mr. Ike Okere and wished him well in his next assignment.

Earlier, the out-going Zonal Director, FRCN, Enugu, Mr. Ike Okere during his valedictory speech, welcomed his successor and debriefed him on the events in the Station, including the projects executed, those ongoing and the rebranding scheme.

“He is used to administering human and material resources, I have no doubt whatsoever that he would be a success and that he will be able to carry the zone to heights that we couldn’t take it to,” Mr. Okere remarked.

Mr. Okere, who will take charge of the FRCN Academy, Lagos, also urged the members of staff to accord all the needed support to the incoming Zonal Dire tor for a greater result.

Some members of the Committee of Management (COM), FRCN Enugu, including the Deputy Director Audit, Mr. Frank Okoli; and the Deputy Director, News, Mr. Stone Echereobia Agomuo, expressed their readiness to support and work in harmony with the new Zonal Director.

According to Mr. Okoli: “From our old analogue system, he tried to digitalize the station to make it more modern and it helped us in our broadcasting, progress is what we are looking for.”

“He briefly talked about content and talked about infrastructure and I was expecting that he will elucidate where that strength is. The reason I said it is so that you will also queue in and strengthen that area of strength which is the new. He rebranded the place to all news, to all sports and all talks and of course that is our strength,” Mr. Echereobia Agomuo stressed.
