ONITSHA DRUG TRADERS DONATE 3 SECURITY VEHICLES TO ZONE 13

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) In Charge of Zone 13, Ukpo,  Mr. Danmallam Mohammed, says the Nigeria Police will continue to do everything within the ambit of the law to ensure that lives and property of people in Anambra and Enugu States are protected.

  The AIG made the promise when he took delivery of Three Sienna vehicles donated to the Zone by traders at Drug and Medicine International Market, Bridge Head Onitsha. Security of lives and property no doubt is every bodies business.

This explains why the traders decided to contribute their quota by donating three operational vehicles to the newly created Zone 13 to assist officers and men in their task of policing the area.  

The spokesperson for the traders, Chief Donatus  Ajamma, while commending the security consciousness of the state government under Governor Willie Obiano, said the vehicles were to strengthen the security operations of the zone.

According to Chief Ajamma, the traders have come to realise the importance of security to the ease of doing business, hence their resolve to contribute their quota towards the overall development of the state.

 In a remark, the State Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Uchenna Okafor, noted that business could only thrive in a secure environment, hence the resolve of the Anambra State Government to provide a conducive atmosphere for residents. Mr. Okafor commended the traders for supporting the state government’s efforts towards ensuring  effective policing .

Anambra State Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Criminal Investigation Department,  Mr. Echeng Echeng, said the Zone would continue to partner the public in its resolve to provide security to the people and thanked the traders for their understanding.

Receiving the keys to the three vehicles, the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mr. Danmallam Mohammed, expressed his resolve towards ensuring that those in Enugu and Anambra States continued to have a conducive crime free society, which in turn guarantee the ease of doing business in the area.

Mr. Mohammed, who expressed happiness with the donation said the vehicles would go a long in assisting the Police in responding to security situations across the area. The traders also donated office furniture to the zonal police command.
