NUC commends UNIZIK’s academic programmes

Thnuc-logoe Nigeria Uni­versities Commis­sion (NUC) Ac­creditation team for the Faculty of Basic Medi­cal Sciences has com­mended UNIZIK for following the Academic Programme adherently.

This commendation was made by Prof Gabri­el Ekandem when he led a four-man-team from the NUC to the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

He expressed ap­preciation to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Joseph E. Ahaneku, FAS, and his management team for the hospitality they received.

He noted that the Pan­el looked at the Philoso­phy and objectives of the programme of the De­partments of Anatomy and Physiology, and was well stated in their hand­book.

Prof Ekandem ex­pressed joy at the Cur­riculum of the Depart­ments and said it was satisfactory for a degree programme. He noted that all the students enrolled in the Depart­ment met the admission requirements and urged them to sustain it.

Furthermore, he stat­ed that the Course Eval­uations were adequate for the programme and that there was the exis­tence of External Exam­iners in the Faculty.

The Physical Facili­ties in the Department met NUC provisions. He later encouraged the University to improve the e-Library in the Fac­ulty by providing more Computers and internet connectivity.
