NPC BEGINS PRETEST FOR 2022 CENSUS IN EBONYI

The National Population Commission says it has commenced second Pretest Exercise for Census Methodology in 148 local government areas across the country.

The Federal Commissioner in-charge of Ebonyi State in the Commission, Chief Darlington Okereke, made this known during a press briefing in Abakaliki.

Represented by the State Director, National Population Commission, Mrs. Julia Manyike, the Federal Commissioner explained that four Local Government Areas of Ezza North, Afikpo South, Ebonyi and Onicha were among those randomly selected for the exercise in the country.

He stated that three Enumeration Areas were selected from three Localities of each of the four Local Government Areas.

Chief Okereke called on respondents to cooperate with the interviewers to ensure credible census when President Muhamadu Buhari issues his proclamation in 2022.
