NKWEGU EMERGES EBONYI LABOUR PARTY GUBER CANDIDATE

An industrialist, Dr. Edward Nkwegu, will fly the flag of Labour Party in the 2023 general election following his emergence as its Ebonyi State Governorship candidate in a substitution primary election conducted in Abakaliki.

The Chairman of the panel and the Returning Officer, Mrs. Oluchukwu Okpara, declared Dr. Nkwegu unopposed winner of the election following a unanimous vote by the delegates from across the thirteen local government areas of Ebonyi State.

In his acceptance speech, Dr. Nkwegu promised to run an all inclusive administration if elected as the Governor of Ebonyi State in 2023.

He expressed appreciation to the delegates and leadership of Labour Party both at the state and National level for a level playing ground during the primary election.

Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates as well as INEC Officials and security agents witnessed the conduct of the election.
