IMO STATE GETS NEW COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, NASIRU MOHAMMED

A new Commissioner of Police has been posted to Imo State. He is Mr. Nasiru Mohammed.

He takes over from Mr. Isaac Akinmoyede, who has been redeployed to Akure, Ondo State, after his promotion to the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Imo State Command, Mr. Orlando Ikeokwu, says Mr. Nasiru Mohammed is a native of Zaria in Kaduna State and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

The new Police Commissioner, until his recent posting, was the Deputy Commissioner of Police, in charge of Operations in Borno State.

He is the thirty-Seventh Commissioner of Police in Imo State.
