HOODLUMS ATTACK POLICE STATION, KILL MOBILE POLICEMAN IN EBONYI

A Mobile Police Officer has been shot dead as hoodlums numbering over twenty attacked Ugbodo Police Division at Ebonyi Council Headquarters in Ebonyi state.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Loveth Odah, explains that some of the hoodlums operated with a Mitsubishi L300 bus while others came by foot and attacked the Division from behind.
The statement indicated that one of the attackers was shot dead as police officers on duty repelled the hoodlums.
Mrs. Odah further noted that police recovered one AK47 rifle, a GSM phone and a jackknife from the hoodlum that was killed while others escaped with bullet wounds.
The incident was coming barely a week INEC Office in the Council Headquarters was attacked with explosives.
