GULAK’S KILLING IS POLITICALLY MOTIVATED — GOV UZODIMMA

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State says he is devastated by the gruesome murder of his friend and an APC Chieftain, Mr. Ahmed Gulak, on his way to Sam Mbakwe Airport Owerri on Sunday.

Speaking on the recent security situation in the state at government house Owerri, the Governor described the killing of Mr. Gulak as a clear case of political assassination, noting that no effort would be spared in unraveling those behind the dastardly act.

Chief Uzodimma while commiserating with the family of late Gulak, said police had made some arrests in connection with the crime and vowed to punish those behind the death of the man who he described as a patriot.

Governor Uzodimma also commiserated with families of those who died recently through stray bullet in Owerri and victims of kidnapping, banditry and armed robbery in the state, assuring that his government would continue to reach out to them.

He used the opportunity to debunk social media reports that his convoy was attacked, saying that nothing of that nature happened to him.
