Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has signed into law the 2022 appropriation bill of 145.410 billion Naira.

The appropriation bill, which was passed by the House of Assembly some days ago, has 89.7 billion Naira as Capital Expenditure and 55.6 billion Naira as Recurrent Expenditure.

Assenting the bill at Government House Abakaliki, Governor David Umahi explained that the state government was committed towards completing all projects embrked on by his administration.

He commended the state House of Assembly for being diligent to its duties, arguing that it was a demonstration that the House was not a rubber stamp as being insinuated in some quarters.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Francis Nwifuru, said Governor Umahi had since assumption of office demonstrated capacity in resource management.

He called on Ministries, Departments and Agencies to ensure implementation of projects as contained in the Law, emphasizing that the lawmakers would through their oversight ensure compliance.
