GOV SOLUDO SWEARS-IN 20 COMMISSIONERS

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has sworn-in 20 Commissioners recently confirmed by the State House of Assembly.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo while performing the ceremony at the EXCO Chambers, Government House, Awka, charged them to leave their marks in their respective ministries and to help support the Government to actualise its vision for the state.

The Governor warned them that his government would not tolerate any sharp practice, corruption of any type or accept indolence and lateness to work.

Governor Soludo charged the Commissioners to be good ambassadors of the people and their various Ministries as well as to ensure that on-going projects in their ministries were completed.

The Governor while congratulating them also pitied them, saying that their new position would be tasking as the people had high expectations from them.

He urged the Commissioners to always re-read the Oath of Office and Allegiance to help them to remain focused,

He urged them to think of how the ministries and the state would be better.

Professor Soludo also promised to provide them with his contract with the people also known as his campaign manifesto.

The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Chika Ifemeje, who spoke on behalf of others, pledged to carry out their work with utmost sincerity and help to move the state to an enviable height.

The Commissioner also pledged to abide by the provisions of the Constitution and to work harmoniously with the Governor for the over all development of the state.

Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, had recalled that the commissioners were thoroughly screened before submitting their names to the State House of Assembly.
