GOV OTTI FELICITATES MUSLIMS ON EID EL-FITR

As Muslim community in Abia State joins the globe to celebrate Eid el-Fitr, Abia State Government says it will continue to create enabling environment for the residents irrespective of religion, tribe, culture and political leaning.

Governor Alex Otti, who stated this, stressed the need for the peaceful co-existence in the state.

Governor Otti, in his 2024 Eid el-Fitr celebration message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Kazie Uko, explained that it was only in peaceful atmosphere that the state would be able to make progress for the good of all citizens.

The statement commended the Muslim faithful on the fortitude and self-discipline they exhibited during the Ramadan, ending with the celebration of the Eid el-Fitr.

The statement expressed the Governor’s optimism that the Muslim community in Abia and the entire country had used the opportunity of the Ramadan to offer prayers for the good of the state and the country at large.

According to the statement, allowing lessons from the long period of Ramadan to reflect on their various issues of life will help them in their quest to be better Muslims and citizens of Abia, as well as contribute meaningfully to the economic, social and political development of the state.
