ANPA BEGINS FREE HEALTH TREATMENT IN ABIA

The Association of Nigerian Physicians in America (ANPA) has commenced a free medical outreach treatmenst for Nigerians suffering from various ailments in Umuahia, the Abia state capital.

Addressing journalists at Government House Umuahia, the President of the Association, Dr. Chinyere Anyaogu-Esiri, said over three thousand persons would receive medical treatments free of charge during the exercise.

She noted that the purpose of establishing the association was to help the needy in the society and also to provide adequate healthcare to Nigerians who might not have access to it.

Also, the Commissioner for Health Abia state, Dr. Ngozi Okoronkwo, commended ANPA for providing the free medical treatment, noting that the state government was committed towards providing adequate healthcare to its citizens.

The Commissioner listed some of the centers where the free medical treatment would be carried out.

They include Federal Medical Center Umuahia, State General Hospital Amachara, Abia state specialist and Diagnostic health center Umuahia, and Madonna Hospital Umuahia.
