CHRISTMAS: LET YOUR POLICIES BE GUIDED BY LOVE- ARCHBISHOP ONUOHA TELLS POLITICAL LEADERS

REPORTER: CHIKA EWURUM

As Christendom celebrate Christmas, the Anglican Archbishop of Owerri Ecclesiastical Province, the Most Reverend David Onuoha, has called on Nigeria leaders to formulate policies embedded in love for the masses.

Archbishop Onuoha made this known in his Christmas message to the nation.

He noted that love for the people should motivate the leaders to create programmes that would reduce hunger and suffering in the land.

According to the Archbishop, love for God and man is the panacea for the multiple problems as a nation.

The Most Reverend David Onuoha described justice as the distribution of love and when combined with equity and fairness would make the society safe for all.

He called on the citizens to pray for their leaders and assist them in the onerous task of leading the country in what he referred to a very difficult period.

The clergyman expressed regret that the absence of love in the discourse, policies and action was clearly evident in the pitiable state the country found itself.

Archbishop Onuoha charged parents to rekindle the parental love for their children and save them from self destruction as a result of intake of crystal methamphetamine.

The cleric admonished priests, traditional rulers and community leaders to use this festive period to talk youths out of hard drug that could ruin them for life.
