ABIA STATE GOVT TO REBUILD ABA ACCORDING TO MASTER PLAN — SSG

Abia State Government says it will partner relevant agencies in realising its vision and mission of rebuilding the state.

The Secretary to the State Government, Professor Kenneth Kalu, made this known when the Executive members of the Nigeria Institute of Town Planners Abia State Chapter paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House Umuahia.

Prof. kalu noted that the present Government had the original masterplan of Aba as a guide to the rebuilding process, stressing that Government would not hesitate to call on them whenever their services would be needed in the rebuilding process.

Earlier in their separate remarks, the leader of the team, Dr. Chijioke Odumuko and the President Nigeria Institute of Town Planners, represented by the First National Vice President Nigeria Institute of
Town Planners, Mr. Ogbonna Chime, called on the Government to set up institutions that would make the domestication of Nigerian urban and regional planning law of
1992 workable and meaningful for the people of the state.

They further expressed their readiness to work with the government.
