ENUGU STATE 2017 BUDGET SIGNED INTO LAW
The twenty seventeen Enugu State Budget tagged, “Budget of Economic Recovery and Inclusive Development have been signed into law.
Signing the document at Government House Enugu, the Governor, Chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi commended members of the State House of Assembly for the speedy passage of the Budget, which was presented to them on December twenty-third last year.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi said that the budget of over one hundred and five billion naira would reflect the determination of the government to make huge investments for stimulation of economic activities.
He further noted that the state government would give adequate attention to job creation through small and medium entrepreneurship development, skill acquisition, and youth empowerment.
Earlier, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Chief Edward Ubosi, who outlined some adjustments made in the document, commended the governor for the ability to manage the resources of the state despite the daunting economic challenges.
The budget breakdown is expected to hold at the NUJ State Secretariat on Wednesday.
