NYSC DEPLOYS CORPS MEMBERS IN EBONYI ACCORDING TO AREAS OF STUDY

REPORTER: AMECHI ODO

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Ebonyi State has charged corps members deployed to the area for one year mandatory service to be selfless as they contribute their quota to the development of their host communities.

The State Coordinator of the Scheme, Mrs. Foluke Oladeinde, made this known at the end of three weeks orientation course for 2024 Batch A Stream One Corps members at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Afikpo.

Mrs. Oladeinde explained that One thousand four hundred and eighty one Corps members were posted to various places of primary assignment, taking into consideration their courses of study and the needs of the people.

She enjoined them to shun acts capable of breaching the peace and unity of their host communities, emphasising that the existing bonding among youths of the country was an indication that the scheme was achieving its objectives.

Some of the corps members described the orientation course as an opportunity to develop skills and raise consciousness on national values.

They also promised to be good ambassadors of the scheme.
