SECURITY AGENCIES MEET TO IMPROVE SECURITY IN ABIA

The Police in Abia State say they will continue to collaborate with sister security agencies in the state to protect lives and property of residents.
The Abia State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mohammed Isa, made this known at Umuehim Nvosi Isialangwa South Local Government Area, the country home of the Governor Alex Otti.
This was after rising from a Security Council Meeting, which had in attendance top Security officials from the various Security Agencies in the State.
The Commissioner described the state’s security situation as peaceful, following strategic operations by the various security agencies to maintain law and order as well as secure lives and property of residents.
He emphasized that the purpose of the meeting was to appraise the security situation in the state.
He noted that the last meeting held in November 2024 led to Special Security Operations across Aba, Umuahia, and other Local Government Areas of the State during the Yuletide, which he noted ensured a peaceful Festive season.
He urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies, noting that the Command remaind steadfast in its efforts to ensure peace and Security across the State.
Also, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Matters, Mr. MacDonald Ubah (rtd), reaffirmed the present administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property of Abia residents.
He described the Security Meeting as part of the State Government’s proactive approach to maintain law and order in the State.
