ABIA GOVT BEGINS REHABILITATION OF PORTHARCOURT EXPRESS WAY ABA

Abia State Government has contracted a renowned construction company to commence rehabilitation work on a six point eight kilometer Port Harcourt Express road Aba to revive socio economic in the area.

Speaking at the official commencement of the project, the State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, explained that the strategic step in fulfilling one of his major campaign promises is to permanently break the jinx of Port Harcourt Road Aba and revive the long-abandoned economic activities along the corridor.

Governor Otti noted that the government had set up a robust financing structure to ensure that the government would complete the payment on schedule to eliminate any setback arising from payment delays.

The Governor expressed the hope that the construction company would deliver the project within the eighteen months timeline and according to job specifications, stressing that people of the state deserved the best.

Governor Otti noted that there would be several moments of inconveniences for those living around the construction corridor but appealed to the residents of the area to accord the contractor the necessary support.

The Governor reiterated the present administration’s commitment to creating enabling environment for businesses to thrive through unprecedented investments in infrastructure.

In a separate interview some the resident, who spoke with Radio Nigeria commended the governor for fulfilling his campaign promise to reduce the sufferings of the people and appealed to him to sustain the tempo.
