SEN UBA SUPPORTS ANAMBRA STATE GOVT WITH SECURITY GADGETS

Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has taken delivery of over six thousand security equipment and information gadgets donated by the Senator representing Anambra South, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah, to further the fight against insecurity in the area.

Governor Soludo while receiving the items at Ifeanyi Uba Stadium in Nnewi, reiterated that the development and security of the state remained a collective responsibility.

The items donated included 6,000 Streetlights with Surveillance Cameras, 1,000 walkie talkies, while security operatives trained by the senator were also presented to the Governor.

Professor Soludo thanked and commended Senator Ifeanyi Uba for the project, recounting that when he took over the helms of the state, the state was under seige by hoodlums, but his administration had been able to reduce crime to a minimum level.

The Governor further admonished politicians to work towards the development of the state in spite of party affiliations.

He warned the newly- recruited local operatives to carry out their duties in accordance with the Anambra State law.

Earlier In a speech , Senator Ifeanyi Uba thanked Governor Soludo for the on-going rehabilitation of roads in the state, calling on all citizens to rally round his administration.

Senator Ubah restated pledge to collaborte with the state governor in reducing crime to the bearest minimum in the state.

Also, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security, Air Admiral Ben Chiobi, told the governor that the personnel would work tirelessly to complete the installation of the street lights.
