SUSPECTED GANG RAPE: YOUNG LADY FOUND DEAD IN ABAKALIKI HOTEL ROOM

A lady in her late 20s, identified as Ugochi Nworie, has allegedly been gang raped to death in a popular hotel in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Investigations reveal that the victim arrived in the hotel in company of a group of young men late in the night for lodging accomodation.

Sources familiar with the incident explained that the lady was, however, found dead in the hotel room after the door was forcefully opened in the day time with her legs, hands and mouth tied up.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mrs. Loveth Odah, confirmed the murder.

The PPRO noted that efforts were on to track the perpetrators, who left the hotel room unnoticed after committing the crime.

Meanwhile, used condoms suggestive of gang rape were recovered from the scene.
