GOV UZODIMMA INAUGURATES EXECUTIVE MEMBERS OF IMO COUNCIL OF TRADITIONAL RULERS, WARNS AGAINST JEALOUSY

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has inaugurated members of the state and local government executive council of traditional rulers in the state.

Governor Uzodinma at the New Executive Council Chambers Government House Owerri charged them to be responsive and work as a representative of government to ensure peace and tranquility in their area.

He called on them to supervise, coordinate and manage affairs of the local government, noting that government could not function alone without the partnership from the royal fathers.

The Governor promised to empower them with necessary materials that would enable them to discharge their duty and urged them to shun jealousy among themselves.

In a reaction, the Chairman Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Emmanuel Okeke, assured the Governor of their cooperation, and desire to serve fo9r better tomorrow.

Eze Okeke, who spoke on behalf of the inaugurated members, said they would build bridges of understanding and prayed God to give them wisdom to serve.

He thanked the Governor for the on-going massive road construction across the local governments.
