FORMER PRESIDENT, OBASANJO, OBI, SOLUDO, OTHERS GRACE EMEKA ANYAOKU SYMPOSIUM

Nigerian leaders have been urged to make right policies and ensure their implementation for good of the people.
A former President of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo gave the advice at the maiden symposium of Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
Chief Obasanjo stressed the need for Nigerians to join hands in building a prosperous nation.
Chief Obasanjo, while speaking on the theme of the symposium, “Nigeria in the Comity of Nations,” maintained that for Nigeria and Africa to get it right, they must build a nation worthy of emulation.
The former President, who marked his 85th birthday recently, commended the Governor Willie Obiano for his legacy projects, said that wwhat he had seen on ground showed the manfestation of good governance to the people.
He noted that posterity would judge the Governor for his legacy projects, saying that Anambra is truly the light of the nation.
For his part, Governor Willie Obiano, who expressed delight to receive the former President of Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo for visiting the state, said his presence alone would boost the morale of the people.
He maintained that the maiden symposium of the institute and lecture would go a long way to imotolize Chief Emeka Anyaoku for his contributions to the growth of the nation and expand the horizon of students educationally
Earlier, the Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Professor Charles Esimone, while saying that the lecture had impacted positively on the lives of students and Nigerians, welcomed the former president of Nigeria, and Chief Willie Obiano among others.
Professor Esimone explained that the Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy was launched in 2017 with the mission to foster the learning of diplomacy and the promotion of international peace.
He said that the maiden symposium signaled their firm commitment to redouble efforts to make the institute fully functional.
The lecture had in attendance the governor elect, Professor Chukwuma soludo, Chief Peter Obi, Senator Uche Ekwunife and other well meaning Nigerians from all walks of life.
