MAN COMMITS SUICIDE AFTER MURDERING HIS TWO GRANDCHILDREN IN EBONYI

A sixty year old man, Uguru Ugbo, has allegedly murdered his two grand children and subsequently committed suicide at Ohagewaka in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The children, whose names were given as Godspower and Saviour Ugbo who were about two years old, were allegedly strangled to death while the third grand child of the suspect, whose name was given as Chimdirim Ugbo, was also found unconscious and was rushed to the hospital.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Loveth Odah, explained that the suspect allegedly hung himself in a rope at the back of his house after allegedly committing the crime.

She noted that the Commissioner of Police had ordered discreet investigations into the matter with the survivor as a person of interest to the police.
