IMO RESTATES COMMITMENT TO BUILDING AGRICULTURE UNIVERSITY

Imo State Government has reiterated its commitment to establish a University of Agriculture in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of the State.

Governor Rochas Okorocha made this known when the officers and students of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House Owerri.

The Governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. George Eche, said the State was a hub of commercial development with good land for agriculture.

He noted that the State had built more class rooms to compliment the efforts towards free and qualitative education in the State with more roads expanded for its urban renewal.

The leader of the team and the Commandant, Nigerian College of Logistics Lagos, Major General Richard Duru, said they were in Owerri to see how the natural and agricultural potential of the State could be harnessed to support the military and national development.

Major General Duru explained that the aim was to see corporate social responsibilities of the selected organizations to their host communities and also take a look at energy and power generation potential of Imo State
