GOV. IKPEAZU PLEDGES TO TACKLE SECURITY CHALLENGES IN ABIA STATE
Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has restated his administration’s commitment to support security agencies in the area to succeed in the fight against crime. Dr. Ikpeazu made this known when the Commander, Fourteen Brigade Nigerian Army, Ohafia, Brigadier General Abdulkalifa Ibrahim visited him at Government House, Umuahia.
The Governor promised to avail the Commander with timely and accurate information about criminals in the State and commended the Army for working closely with other security agencies in the fight against crime. He noted that armed robbery, kidnapping and Herdsmen\ Farmers clashes were some of the major security challenges facing the State and pledged to tackle them head long.
Responding,Brigadier General Abdulkalifa promised to synergize with other security agencies to ensure peace and safety of the people which were necessary for democracy to thrive.
