Breaking: Senate Passes 2016 Budget, Reduces To N6.06 Trillion

The senate on wednesdy passed the 2016 Budget of N6.06 trillion, a reduction from the original Budget of six point zero eight trillion earlier submitted by president Mohammadu Buhari.

Kapital FM Correspondent James Itodo said, the senate committee chairman on appropriation, senator Danjuma Goje, called for early submission of subsequent budgets to avoid delay of passage.

The president of the senate, Bukola Saraki commended the senate for passing a non controversial budget.

He called on the executive to encourage the production and use of made in Nigeria-goods.

Senator Saraki also appealed to the executive to give accent to the bill for urgent implementation.rea
