IMO GOVT APPOINTS NEW SSG
Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has announced the appointment of a career civil servant, Mr. George Eche, as the new Secretary to the State Government of Imo State, SGI. Mr. Eche’s appointment came barely four days after the Governor relieved the immediate past occupant of the office, Sir Jude Ejiogu, of his duties.
The new SGI, who is a native of Obiangwu, Ngor Okpala local council area of the state, was first appointed a Permanent Secretary by Chef Ikedi Ohakim and posted to the Ministry of Finance. However, when Okorocha came on board as Governor in 2011, Eche was appointed the Accountant General of the state but was later back loaded to the Ministry of Finance.
