ANAMBRA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY TASKS THE EXECUTIVE ON THE AWGBU AMATITI-OKPEZE-NDIUKWUENU ROAD

Anambra State House of Assembly has asked Governor Willie Obiano to direct the Commissioner for Works, Mr. Lawrence Chiweuba to call order the Contractor handling AwgbuAmatiti-Okpeze-Ndiukwuenu Road back to site.

The Lawmakers made the resolution during the Plenary Session of the House in Awka.

The Sponsor of the motion and member representing Orumba North Constituency, Mr. Romanus Obi observed that the road which was awarded in 2013 was yet to be asphalted.

Supporting the motion, the member representing Dunukofia Constituency, Mr. Lawrence Ezeudu, insisted that it was necessary that the work was complete on the road before the rainy season fully sets in.

 

Correspondent Kevin Ekediegwu reports that the Speaker of the House, Mrs Rita Maduagwu expressed the hope that the Governor would address the issue soon in order to give the people of the area a sense of belonging.
