Liverpool FC Qualify For Europa League Final
Liverpool Football Club will take on holders Sevilla in the final of the UEFA Europa League, on 18th of this month at St. Jakob-Park in Basel, Switzerland.
After losing the first leg of their semi-final 1-0 in Villareal, Liverpool produced a dominant display at Anfield last night to win 3-1 on aggregate.
This will be Liverpool’s first European final since losing 2-1 to AC Milan in the Champions League final of 2007. The Reds however have won eight of the eleven European finals they have appeared in.
Meanwhile, in the other semi-final, Sevilla who are looking to win the Europa League for the third successive season beat Ukranian side Shaktar Donetsk 3-1 to advance with 5-3 aggregate scoreline.
