Giwa FC Goalkeeper Dies
Giwa Football Club goalkeeper, Timothy Okere has passed away as a result of complications arising from spinal cord injury.
He was hospitalized as a result of back injury which he sustained from training two weeks ago.
Okere was in goal throughout Giwa’s campaign in the Nigeria National League and he played a leading role in the team’s promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League three years ago.
