FC Ifeanyi Ubah disunites Rivers United 2-0

FC Ifeanyi Ubah gave their t2016_06_20_64018eeming fans something to cheer yesterday as they maintained home winning streak after beating Rivers United 2-0 in Nnewi.
Wasiu Jimoh put the Anambra Warriors on victory path in the 23rd minutes after Okereke Maduabuchi narrowly missed an opportunity for an early opener.
Gata Ismaila got the second goal for FC Ifeanyi Ubah in the 50th minutes.
Both scorers were signed-on in the mid-season. Jimoh joined the Anambra Warriors from Shooting Stars while Gata came from Niger Tornadoes.
It was Gata’s 10th goal of the season after he scored nine for former club Niger Tornadoes in the first round of the campaign.
Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa also made his debut for IfeanyiUbah.
Super Eagles Bright Onyedikachi was brought in for Okereke Maduabuchi in the 57th minute to fortify the attacking line of FC Ifeanyi Ubah.
What was supposed to be the third goal for the homers was stopped by the Rivers United goalkeeper in the added injury time. With this result the Anambra Warriors will move up on the log.
In Lagos, coach Gbenga Ogunbote continued to conjure his magic with struggling Shooting Stars as they defeated home team MFM FC 1-0 at the Agege Stadium.
Shooting Stars match winner was Ebitimi Agogu in the 82nd minute.
Rangers stayed in title contention after a 1-1 draw against Niger Tornadoes.
Akwa United beat El Kanemi 2-0 in Uyo, while Abia Warriors stopped Heartland 1-0 at home.
