Ugwuanyi’s wife donates gas cookers to 17 rural women
WIFE of Enugu State Governor, Mrs. Monica Ugwuanyi, has in fulfilment of her pledge to empower rural women in the state through her pet project, Ugo Touch, given out 17 gas cookers and cylinders to 17 women drawn from all the Local Government Areas in the state. The governor’s wife said the gesture was her contribution to the campaign for safe cooking among rural women through the use of gas cookers which she described as posing less danger to their health. She made this donation in partnership with Masters Energy, an oil firm, at Okpara Square during the June edition of Enugu State Women Prayer Network.
