Enugu Fans Beckon On Governor Ugwuanyi To Lift Rangers Financially
Fans of Enugu Rangers have appealed to the Enugu Government to make more funds available to the Flying Antelopes so that the club can achieve his ambition of ending the state long wait for a league title with another road trip to Jos against Giwa FC on Sunday in a NPFL Match Day 12 game.
Rangers are on top of the league table with 21 points from 11 matches ahead of their Sunday NPFL Match Day 12 tie against Giwa FC and some concerned fans of the club have revealed to Goal that the lean financial situation of the team may hinder their league title aspiration of the Enugu Government does not come to their aid.
The concerned fans warned that starving the Flying Antelopes the required funds may not assist the club resolve and determination to make meaningful impact in the league this season for the first since 2012 when they placed second on the league and represented Nigeria in the Caf Champions league in 2013.
A fan simply identified as Frank revealed that they are hoping to make their appeal get to the Enugu Government where they are certain their observation would be given more accelerated hearing as they continue their support for the Coal City side.
“We are appealing to Enugu Government to release money approve for Rangers. This is a good opportunity to reclaim the league title after so many years of wait,”.
“The team needs money and the government must do something about it. We will use our contacts to ensure that the state government does something to relieve the present situation of the team.
Meanwhile, Rangers have disclosed that they have embarked on the trip to Jos to face Giwa FC with a killer squad and that they are expecting nothing but the three points against the Jos Elephants.
Media officer Foster Chime noted that the players of the club are ready to do the state proud in Jos as they target a shock win against Giwa FC.
“Rangers are ready on ground in Jos and we are expecting to have a very good game. We won’t negotiate for anything but the maximum points. We have the players to get the job done and the spirits in camp is very good,”
