WE WILL MAKE SURE THAT IDPS VOTE – INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says efforts are been made for the inclusion of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPS) into the voting process for the 2019 general election.

The Deputy Director Publicity of the Commission, Mr. Aliyu Bello, made this known in Enugu during an event tagged “Voter Education Implementation and Capacity Building Workshop for Public Affairs Officers” in the country.

Addressing participants drawn from various states of the federation, Mr. Bello challenged public officers to be committed to equipping citizens with requisite information related to electioneering.

INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in Enugu State represented by the Administration Secretary, Chief Enyinnaya Onyekwere, urged the participants to take advantage of the training to ensure success of the next year’s general election.

Chief Onyekwere urged citizens to approach the commission for relevant information concerning electoral process.

The programme was organized by INEC in collaboration with USAID and UKAID.
