SUPPORTERS OF HOPE UZODINMA AND UCHE NWOSU CLASH AT APC RALLY IN OWERRI
Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari has appealed to youths to eschew thuggery and violence during and after the forthcoming elections.
Mrs. Buhari represented by Wife of the Vice President, Mrs. DolapoOsibanjo, gave the charge in a message to the South East APC Women and Youths rally held in Owerri.
Mrs. Buhari urged the people of the zone to vote massively for APC to enable the party to complete the good works it started.
She described APC as a women and youth friendly party, pointing out that policies, including N-Power, Trade-Moni and School Feeding Programme of the Federal Government had significantly reduced unemployment in the country.
Mrs.Buhari called on youths to not only come out en masse to support APC but to ensure they protected their votes.
The Governor of Imo State, Chief Rochas Okorocha, said the APC controlled-Federal Government had done a lot for the South East and boasted that the party would win overwhelmingly in the presidential election.
Governor Okorocha identified the Second Niger Bridge, Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport, Enugu Port Harcourt and Owerri-Aba expressways as some of the landmark projects of President Buhari in the zone.
Radio Nigeria observed that there were sporadic gun shots and canisters by security agencies at the rally as they tried to contend clashes between supporters of the APC – Governorship candidate in the State, Senator Hope Uzodinma and that of the AA, Chief UcheNwosu who is also son in-law to Governor Okoroacha.
