POLITICIANS URGED TO PLAY POLITICS WITH CONSCIENCE

Those vying for Public offices in the country have been charged to seek the face of God and go into politics with conscience.

The Vice Chancellor, Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, Professor Christian Anike made the call during a Thanksgiving Mass for  the All Progressives Congress, APC Candidates contesting for National Assembly positions in Enugu West,  held at Saint Michael’s Cathedral Parish, Awgu, Enugu State.

Professor Anike urged the Candidates to remain in faith and to seek the face of God as they strived to redeem their pledges to the people.

While unveiling her mantra to the people after the church service, the APC candidate for Enugu West Senatorial Zone, Mrs. Juliet Ibekaku Nwagwu said she would collaborate with various governments and the organized private sector to create jobs for the unemployed if elected.

Mrs. Ibekaku Nwagwu explained that priority would be given to agriculture and its value chain as the zone was blessed with fertile lands and other natural resources which when utilized would better the lots of the people.

She said if voted into power, there would be a regular interface between her and the people she represents for unity of purpose and exchange of ideas.

Speaking on his campaign slogan, “Let’s get it right”, the APC’s House of Representatives Candidate for Aninri, Awgu, Oji-River Federal Constituency, Mr Vin Martins Ilo gave the assurance that if elected, he would propose bills that would transform the lives of his constituents.

The people of the zone turned out in their numbers to pledge their support for the APC Candidates and to vote for them during the 2019 National Assembly election.

Many APC Stalwarts and Supporters including the State Chairman of the Party, Dr Ben Nwoye, and the Governorship Candidate, Mr Ayogu Eze attended the event.

The Party’s National Chairman was represented by the National Vice Chairman, South-East, Mr Emma Eneukwu.
