INEC URGED TO DECENTRALIZE DISTRIBUTION POINTS FOR EASY COLLECTION OF PVC’S

An Enugu based politician and Chairman United Progressives Party UPP in Enugu State, Mr. Ken Onyekaonwu has called on INEC to  ensure that every eligible voter collect his/her Permanent Voters  Card,PVC’s before the 2019 general  election.

Mr. Onyekaonwu made the call while contributing to a Radio Nigeria Enugu Zonal political programme, “Political Watch”.

He stated that INEC had not done enough in the collection of the Permanent Voter Cards and suggested decentralizing the distribution points for easy access to the cards.

Another guest and Public Relations Officer INEC, Anambra State, Mrs. Nneka Eluogu maintained that INIEC had a lot of on-going sensitization programmes to educate the people on the essence of collecting their PVC’s.

She advised politicians and other stakeholders to collaborate with INEC towards ensuring that people collect their PVCs.

Some callers in the programme lamented the difficulties experienced while collecting the PVCs and called on INEC to address the situation.

They also advised people to make use of the festive period to ensure they collected their PVC’s to avoid being caught in the web.
