APC MEMBERS EMBARK ON SOLIDARITY MARCH IN OWERRI

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has urged residents of the state to remain law abiding and go about their legitimate businesses without fear of molestation in the face of recent political development in the state.

The Governor made the call when hundreds of All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters embarked on a solidarity match to Government House, Owerri.

Governor Uzodinma said he challenged the outcome of the March 9, 2019 Governorship election in the state to reclaim the mandate given to him by the people.

The Governor urged the Federal Government to investigate those he accused of instigating crisis in the nation as a result of the Supreme Court ruling, which returned him as the governor.

The Chairman of APC in the State, Chief Marcelinus Nlemigbo, said the party was elected to improve the lots of the people and gave an assurance that the state would move to the next level.

Meanwhile, supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo, Abuja and some other parts of the country also protested again the Supreme Court judgment, which upturned the election of Chief Emeka Ihedioha and declared Senator Hope Uzodinma as winner of the 2019 Governorship Election in Imo State.
