UNREGISTERED PRIVATE GUARD COMPANIES IN ENUGU STATE TO FACE SANCTION

Unregistered Private Guard Companies in Enugu State are advised to register and obtain their license to avoid being penalized.

The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Enugu State Command, Mr Steve Amoga gave the advice, during the inauguration of a committee of Private Guard Companies in Enugu State.

Mr Amoga explained that the committee was set up to assist in checking the proliferation of illegal guard companies in the area.

According to him, only registered security companies with license are qualified to provide services in line with the operational regulations.

Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated eleven-man Committee, the Chairman Private Guards Companies, Enugu State, Mr Patrick Okoh and Secretary, Mr Darlington Amos noted that improved operations would enhance effective security in the State.

The event attracted some sister security agencies and members of the public.
