SOLUDO REJOICES WITH ANAMBRA NATIONAL AWARD
RECIPIENTS; COMMENDS FG

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has congratulated some indigenes of the state who were conferred with different categories of national awards by the Federal Government.

Among those honoured were former Commonwealth Secretary General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, who was conferred with Grand Commander of the Niger (GCON); a former Minister for Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, who was given Commander Of the Niger; and the Senator representing Anambra Central at the National Assembly, Uche Ekwunife, who also received Commander Of the Niger; and a former Minister for Environment, Sharon Ikeazor, who also was awarded with Commander Of the Niger.

They were nominated alongside over three hundred other outstanding patriotic Nigerians.

This was contained in a message of felicitation released by Governor Soludo’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime in Awka.

Governor Soludo thanked the Federal Government and the National Honours Awards Committee for the honour, evidently in recognition of the contributions of the awardees from Anambra State to the development of the nation.

As part of his exit gestures, President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the conferment of the 2023 special national awards on 340 Nigerians and friends of the country in various categories.
