REPORTER: OKECHUKWU EZEONA
Governor Peter Mba of Enugu State has assumed office as the fifth Executive Governor of the State.
Shortly after the inaugural events at Michael Okpara Square, he proceeded to Government House Sentinel and inspected guard of honor mounted by a detachment of Nigerian Police.
Thereafter, he moved into the Exco Chambers, Lion Building Enugu and signed three Executive Orders.
The first one, Executive Order 001, of 2023 ‘’An Order of Development of Citizens Charter.”
Second, Executive Order 002, speaks to an ‘’Order for the Removal of Unauthorized Street Barriers Across the State Within One Hundred Days.’’
This order, according to Governor Mba, is in line with his electioneering promises.
He gave the assurance that within the stipulated hundred days, his administration would have put in place obvious measures to guarantee their safety and security.
The third and final order is his mission as contained in his manifesto ‘’To Make Enugu State the Preferred Destination for Investors.’’
For this to happen, Governor Mba said his government must create and make policies that are business friendly.
