SEE EBONYI AS YOUR NEW HOME— NWIFURU TELLS YOUTH CORPS MEMBERS

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State have urged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to the state to uphold national unity, peace and integration, especially at this challenging period in the nation.

He gave the charge in a message to the swearing-in of 2024 Batch A Stream One corps members at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Old Macgregor College Afikpo.

Represented by the State Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Mr. Richard Idike, the Governor urged them to see the state as their new home and brace up for the task ahead.

He noted that the state government was determined to provide adequate security during their service year.

The State Coordinator of the Scheme, Mrs. Oladeinde Foluke, said 1,451 corps members were deployed to the state and appealed to the state government to intervene in the area of infrastructure in the camp and security of corps members.

Justice Nicholas Nwode, who represented the State Chief Judge, Justice Elvis Ngene, administered oath of allegiance to the corps members.
