ROAD SIDE CLINICS AND AMBULANCE POINTS TO BE ESTABLISHED IN IMO

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC,  Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi has promised to establish Road Side Clinics, Zebra Signs as well as Ambulance Point at  strategic places in Imo State.

Dr. Oyeyemi stated this at Government house Owerri when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state.

The Corps Marshal stressed that the facilities especially the Ambulance Point became imperative to save victims of auto crash and reduce road fatality. He noted that the Corps would collaborate with the State Ministry of Health to map out areas where the clinic would be sited.

The Corps Marshal commended the State Government for establishing Road Traffic Management Agency and rehabilitation of roads in the area. Responding, the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha thanked the Corps Marshal  for his  visit and urged him to set up a department for road inspection which would point out pot holes for urgent attention.

Owelle Okorocha said the State Ministry of Transportation would henceforth, arrest any Taxi driver without number plates.

The Governor promised to provide the Command with buildings if it wished to set up FRSC Academy for training of officers and drivers.
