Religious leaders in Imo State have called on aggrieved persons in the area to sheath their sword and work towards returning peace in the troubled state.
The Prelate Methodist Church Nigeria, the Most Reverend Samuel Uche made the call while briefing journalists after a meeting between Heads of Churches and the Governor of the state, Chief Hope Uzodimma in Government House Owerri.
The Most Reverend Uche said religious leaders were worried about the spate of insecurity in Imo State and gave the assurance that steps would be taken to reconcile individuals no matter the differences.
The Methodist Prelate cautioned youths against making themselves willing tools in the hands of mischief makers, noting that violence was never the solution to problems.
